One of the most interesting techniques that we developed is to tie two dominoes together with string. Simply drill holes and thread string through and tie knots at the end to prevent the string from falling through. This allows you to transfer the energy of a falling domino to a distant location (determined by the length of your string). This allows you to do many interesting things including transferring the domino topple upwards as shown in the video clip. To give a little extra mass to the falling domino, we glued on some additional pieces of wood: this ensures that a sufficient tug is given thereby continuing the topple.
